Technology Tools That Can Be Used to Address Visual-Spatial or Motor Control Difficulties


There are a ton of different educational applications that are available for those who have Visual-Spatial and Motor Control difficulties. Many of these applications help because they minimize handwriting demands.


1.     MathPad : This is a talking math worksheet program that to solve arithmetic problems without the use of pencil and paper. Students get to solve the problems on the computer instead of having to write them out with paper and pencil.
2.     Virtual Pencil : this is a program for students who are “pencil impaired.” This program makes writing out math problems easier because it allows them to complete the problems just like they would if they were using paper and pencil.
3.     Number Navigator: This is referred to as a “simple math processor.” Students enter and solve math problems on the computer. This is FREE! You also get to customize fonts, colors, and sizes. 
4.     Microsoft Word: This program can also be used a math processor. Word is equipped with an equation editor that enables students to type out math problems instead of writing them.
